A. If your 2-month-27-day-old premature baby is refusing milk, it could be due to several common reasons such as gas, colic, reflux, nasal congestion, teething discomfort, or a temporary decrease in appetite. Premature babies can also have feeding challenges as their sucking reflex may develop a little later. Make sure your baby is comfortable, burped well, and feeding in a calm environment. If the refusal continues for more than a few feeds, or if your baby shows signs of dehydration (like fewer wet diapers, dry mouth, or lethargy), consult your pediatrician to rule out any underlying issue.
