my nipple are cracked what is the solution for it and my baby is not latching deeply even if I try for deep latch ? kindly provide any solution becz feeding has become fearful for me

Dear mum, it is best to apply breastmilk to cracked nipple especially hind milk. it has great healing properties. don't wear bra until healed and let it air dry. creams have to be washed before breastfeeding which again dries the area and aggravates injury. improper latching may have resulted in this. take care that maximum areola is in mouth of child, lower lip is curled out and chin touches breast Tongue-ties interfere with breastfeeding. When baby cries, does the tongue go right up to the top of mouth? If not, baby may be tongue-tied. A visit to a lactational consultant will be helpful.
