A. Newborns sleeping during day time is pretty common. Infact, New born can sleep around sixteen to seventeen hours per day. You have to forcefully wake the baby and feed once in every two hours. Whenever the baby falls asleep then try to rub the baby's ears, tickle his feet or cheeks so that he will start sucking again. Your baby should be peeing anywhere between six to ten times a day which means the baby is taking feeds properly. If not then make sure the baby is latching and taking feeds well or if ur milk supply is sufficient. Also there should be a gradual weight gain. Keep a check on these factors.
