Father of a Newborn boy4 days ago
Q.

My new born baby is just 10 days old and there is lot of eye discharge (could be some infection). A Peadiatrician suggested to use Toba Eye drops 4 times a day for 4 days. General Google search reveals that it should NOT be used for kids upto 12 months of age. Are there any parents here who uses Toba eye drops? Is it safe for a new born baby below 1 month of age ?? Please help.

A. See the discharge in the eyes is very normal to be seen for that actually no medicine is required you should just keep cleaning the eyes regularly with water and the drops that has been recommended by the doctor is basically an antibiotic and it is not good to use for such small child so take another opinion before you use these drops in the eyes of the child
