A. Dear mum, if your baby has tripled the birth weight by one year then do not worry. For healthy weight gain, give homemade balanced diet having variety of food groups especially seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. At least 500 ml of milk every day including milk products like curd, paneer, cheese. You can give eggs and non veg foods. Add powdered nuts like almonds, walnuts to baby’s diet. Add ghee to baby’s food. Give 5 meals a day and up to one katori every time. Continue to breastfeed.

A. hi dear When growing kids don't gain weight as they should, it is called "failure to thrive." Failure to thrive is not a disease or disorder itself. Rather, it's a sign that a child is undernourished. In general, kids who fail to thrive are not getting enough calories to grow and gain weight in a healthy way.
