A. It's understandable to be concerned about mosquito bites, especially with the risk of dengue. Here's what you can do if a mosquito bites your child:
### Immediate Steps After a Mosquito Bite:
1. **Wash the Area**: Clean the bite area with soap and water to reduce the risk of infection.
2. **Apply a Cold Compress**: Use a cold compress or ice pack wrapped in a cloth to reduce swelling and itching. Apply it for about 10 minutes.
3. **Use Anti-Itch Cream**: Apply an anti-itch cream or lotion, such as calamine lotion or hydrocortisone cream, to relieve itching. These are safe for kids but use them sparingly and avoid contact with the eyes.
4. **Consider an Oral Antihistamine**: If your child is older than two and the itching is severe, you can give an oral antihistamine like cetirizine or diphenhydramine (after consulting with your pediatrician).
### Monitoring for Dengue Symptoms:
- **Watch for Symptoms**: Dengue symptoms can start 4 to 10 days after being bitten and include high fever, severe headache, pain behind the eyes, joint and muscle pain, rash, and mild bleeding (like gum bleeding or easy bruising). If you notice these symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.
### Preventing Future Bites:
- **Dress Your Child Appropriately**: Have your child wear long sleeves and pants, especially during peak mosquito activity times (dawn and dusk).
- **Use Mosquito Repellent**: Apply a child-safe mosquito repellent on exposed skin and clothing. Look for repellents containing DEET, picaridin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus that are safe for children.
- **Use Mosquito Nets**: Ensure your child sleeps under a mosquito net, especially if living in or visiting an area with high mosquito activity.
- **Eliminate Breeding Sites**: Remove any standing water around your home where mosquitoes can breed.
### When to See a Doctor:
- If the bite area becomes increasingly red, swollen, or warm, this could indicate an infection, and you should see a doctor.
- If you suspect your child has contracted dengue or another mosquito-borne illness, seek medical attention immediately.
By taking these steps, you can help reduce the discomfort from the mosquito bite and keep a close watch for any concerning symptoms.

A. That’s okay when I stingy mosquito bite sometimes it can leave an impression of redness into that area but it settle down after a while so keep applying a mixture of Kapoor and coconut oil that’s going to help keeping mosquitoes also help eliminating marks on the body
