My girl's potty has been very tight since 1 month

A. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 months . you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suhiggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .

A. at this age the child should pass stool regularly. if the consistency is hard and the child is having pain while passing stool it is considered as constipation. give plenty of water and fibre diet to the child it is important to give fibre diet from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits avoid giving more than 400 ml milk everyday and avoid giving packet and processed foods as well as biscuits and refined food adding papaxya , fennel seeds water , oats pear prunes pineapple banana kishmish to the regular diet will help in decreasing constipation.
