A. For an 8-month-old baby, consider introducing nutrient-rich and calorie-dense foods to promote healthy weight gain. Here are some weight-gaining Indian food options: 1. **Ragi (Finger Millet) Porridge:** Rich in calcium and iron. 2. **Khichdi with Ghee:** A balanced mix of rice, lentils, and vegetables. 3. **Banana:** A calorie-dense fruit that's easy to digest. 4. **Homemade Dal (Lentil) Soup:** Provides protein and energy. 5. **Sweet Potato Mash:** High in vitamins and carbohydrates. 6. **Avocado Puree:** Contains healthy fats and calories. 7. **Full-Fat Yogurt:** A good source of healthy fats and protein. 8. **Paneer (Cottage Cheese) Puree:** Rich in protein and calcium. Remember to introduce new foods one at a time, monitor for any allergic reactions, and consult with your pediatrician for personalized advice on your baby's diet.
