A. for good Growth of the child it is important that the child should get proper nutritional requirement which is very important for the growing child specially iron and vitamin D is required for better growth and cognition . also there is role of other micronutrients. one should ensure that the child should get a proper balanced diet which contains all types of nutrients essential for growth. any kind of infection specialhgly any chronic infection should be ruled out and treated which may hamper the growth otherwise. after 2 years of age you can give some powder like kids Pro/ prohance junior mix in milk twice a day for one or two months.

A. Ideally, babies should gain 140-200 gms of weight per week and by 5th month, it should double the birth weight. For some pre mature born babies, it may differ but that should not be a matter of concern. As long as baby is active and healthy, there is no need to be worried. Keep feeding fully and frequently for healthy growth and development.
