Q.

My daughter will complete her 6 months on 2nd oct. she is having loose motions from past two days. Have given sporlac to her on the 2nd day but yet she is having loose motions. Her gums are becoming stronger too. can i give her banana at night time to stop her motions. or will she get cold. please suggest.

A. Loose motion most of the time is because of some infection which could be viral or bacterial and in such case it is associated with symptoms like fever along with vomiting and loss of appetite . supportive treatment is very necessary where proper hydration should be maintained by giving ORS along he with that probiotic can be given like enterogermina or econorm in a proper dose . Antibiotics has their role only if it is bacterial infection . for this doctor guidance is necessary .
