Father of a 5 yr 5 m old girl4 years ago
Q.

My daughter will be 1 year and 4 months now. She has been always under weight from birth, but not much. Today her weight will be around 7.3 to 7.5 Kg. When she was 3 month old her Pediatrician doctor asked my wife to give powder milk. I refused to give powdered milk and impose more for mother milk. She is super active all the time. She is so adorable that she has never troubled or any issue. Only thing is her mother thinks she is under weight which always has negative impact in her mind.

A. It is a true that the kids with underweight do achieve normal weight slow as compare to the kids With normal weight but if child is active and healthy and is taking food properly then there is nothing to worry because this will gradually cover up in healthy habits still you can have help of a supplement under doctors recommendation or try giving protein powder such as PediaSure or amway that will surely help gain weight fr your baby
