Q.

my daughter who is one year and 2 months old suffering from fever 101 and I have gave her 5ml crocin 120 as prescribed by doctor but her fever is not decrease after 3 hours so doctor adviced to give her meftal 2.5 ml after half and hour I checked her body temperature is still not decrease 100.9 please advice me

A. whenever fever is not improving with paracetamol you will have to see if the dosage of the medicine is given according to the weight of the child or not and if the power of the paracetamol is proper. also if the medicine is older than one month after opening then better to buy a new bottle.d you have to give paracetamol and also do body sponge and keep the child in cotton clothes. after 2 hours of paracetamol if the fever is is not improving then you dcan go for higher medicines like ibugesic or meftal p. paracetamol can be given maximum four times per day.
