my daughter weight is 18 kg.and now she is 6 year old. she is looking very slim. how gain her weight

A. dear parent, weight of 18 kg is a normal weight for 6 years old girl child. also if baby is active, playful, achieving all growth milestones then it indicates good health. do not go by the appearance. for healthy weight gain, give homemade balanced diet having variety of food groups. grains and millets 4 servings pulses legumes/egg non veg: 1-2 servings seasonal vegetables including green leafy vegetables: 1.5 serving fruits - 1 serving milk and milk products 500ml sugar 4 tsp oil 5 tsp control intake of processed and packaged foods.

A. To help your child gain weight, try increasing their portion sizes at mealtimes, especially for starchy foods such as bread, rice, pasta and potatoes. Alternatively, if your child finds it hard to eat larger portions, try increasing the energy density of your child's meals, until they have reached a healthy weight.
