Q.

my daughter of 51 days old is currently under fm twice or thrice a day, since bm is not sufficient to her. Kindly suggest best fm.Currently we are using dexolac.

A. Milk for babies specially in the initial days of life is very essential,breast milk is ideally the best and should be given exclusively till 5-6 months of age . if your baby is having proper weight gain and urine output then you can consider that the baby is getting satisfied with the milk and there is nothing to worry. formula milk should be given only when suggested by your pediatrician as a substitute to breast milk if due to any reason it is not sufficient to fulfill the demand of the baby. according to the age different stage of formula milk are there like stage 1 till 6 months of age stage 2 from 6 hyemonths to 12 months and thereafter stage 3 . after one year cows milk should be started and any kind of health drink powder in milk should be used only after the completion of two years of age .

A. hello actually most of the good brands contains same composition in 8 so there are so many good brands like lactogen nestle nano Pro you can use any in this consulting your doctor just also consult a good lactogen specialist regarding the breast feed
