Q.

my daughter just came into 6th month.we are celebrating rece eating ceremony on 6th day after completing 5th month..what foods can I offer her?and how much gap I should take after every feed?and if cerelac or slurrup which one is better to be given in 6th month?pls give us complete guide

A. Hello mom you can start after ceremony , rice can be given which should be very soft , also initially start with liquid consistency diet such as vegetable soup, fresh fruit juices or dal or Rice water, then gradually move to semi solids you can give home made foods that is much preferable , and give steamed vegetables, fresh fruit pulps, rice and and thin dal or Kichidi , porridge made with ragi or multigrain mix or suji etc , Start with one thing at a time , also just a few tsp and then gradually increase the quantity , variety and number of meals,
