Hamza MohammedMom of a 3 yr 1 m old boy2 months agoA. my son is also of same age...2 yrs 11 months.
he weighs 13.5 kg. This age is very challenging for a mother to feed the child . At this age the kids generally likes to explore the things around them and asks so many doughts throught the day.
they don't show much interest in eating and tends to spend all the time in activities. so, they need more calories. we need to check wt food we are giving them the whole day. High protein food may help them gain weight. 1 boiled egg, hand full of nuts and a glass of milk must be included in their daily diet.
POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due in 1 month2 months agoA. At 2 years and 11 months, a weight of 10 kg is considered below average for a child’s age. Typically, girls around this age weigh between 12 to 15 kg. However, every child grows at their own pace, and if your daughter is otherwise active, alert, meeting milestones, and not frequently ill, it may not be a serious issue — but it still warrants attention.
Possible Reasons for Low Weight: Poor appetite or picky eating Frequent illnesses or infections Worm infestation (common in toddlers) Nutrient deficiencies (like iron or zinc) Underlying conditions like celiac disease, anemia, or malabsorption Genetic build (if parents are small-built) What You Can Do: Deworming: If not done recently, consult your pediatrician about a deworming medicine. High-calorie nutritious diet: Add ghee, butter, or cheese to her food. Offer banana, boiled eggs, paneer, sweet potato, dal, rice, curd, and nuts powder. Give frequent small meals (5–6 times/day). Avoid junk/snacks before meals to improve hunger. Track her height too — sometimes weight is low but height is normal. Consult a pediatrician to rule out nutritional or medical concerns and monitor growth on a proper growth chart.
