Q.

My daughter is going to turn 5 years in few days. She has already taken her worm’s medicine albendazole 3 months ago. Now I am worried she is getting thin day by day even eating very well. Is it okay to take worms medicine again before 6 months gap??

A. Deworming medicine needs to be given routinely to every child after one year of age and the dose is 200 mg of albendazole once at night time and then repeat the same dose after 14 days once this cycle should be repeated every six cdmonths at least till 5 year of age but it is advisable to give this medicine only after taking guidance by your doctor

A. No you will have to wait for six months to complete after that you can repeat the medication that you would want to give apart from that also I’m going to recommend you that sometimes these things can happen to nutritional deficiency also kindly consult your paediatrician regarding the same
