Q.

My daughter is about to complete 3 months on 19/01/24. She was born in 37th week of my pregnancy. At the time of birth she was 2.40kg, but she caught pneumonia on 11/11/23. She lost her weight and stood on 1.9kgs. Now she has overcome the pneumonia bt her weight gain is very slow. What should I do to weight gain? DOB : 19/10/2023 BW : 2.40kgs

A. yes the baby will take some more time to get a recovered,No need to get stressed Don't overfeed ur baby  Keep a watch on urine output  Baby should pass minimum urine 8 -10 times per day  Burp properly after each and every feed for atleast 10 min or till baby take 4 burp  Feed ur baby as per baby's demand only

A. Just add 1 kg kilogram to that it should be 3.40 because we expect the child gain about 500 g in a month if that’s not happening you can check with your doctor and you can start giving form of feeding to the child which is what is going to be helpful
