Q.

my daughter is 7 weeks old and I have an enquiry about the armpit temperature.i was taken her armpit temperature it shows 98.7 but in other hand need to add +1 degree. when i referred it shows untill 99. degree Fahrenheit is normal so after adding +1 99 considered as fever or without adding +1 consider as fever. pls help

A. hi, don't add 1. A normal temperature in babies and children is about 36.4C (97.5F), but this can vary slightly. A fever is usually considered to be a temperature of 38C (100.4F) or above. keep thermometer in armpit for one min Or till the beep sounds..
