my daughter is 50 days old. upto 1 month she was passing stools normally after 1 month pattern changes from 1 day to alternately to 2 days and now upto 4 days and on 4thvday suppository is needed for rectal stimulation. how can this be improved without suppository

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid foodf has been started after 6 months .
you can give bonnisan drops and some enzymte preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .
