Q.

My daughter is 5 months old and is having diarrhea and fever... Her temperature is 100.8 and we r giving her paracetamol 1.2 ml... Even after taking medicine her fever is there... Her feet hand and forehead is very warm...can we do cold compress... Pls advice

A. whenever fever is not improving with paracetamol you will have to see if the dosage of the medicine is given according to the weight of the child or not and if the power of the paracetamol is proper. also if the medicine is older than one month after opening then better to buy a new bottle.x you have to give paracetamol and also do body sponge and keep the child in cotton clothes. after 2 hours of paracetamol if the fever is is not improving then you can go for higher medicines like ibugesic or meftalx p. paracetamol can be given maximum four times per day.
