Q.

my daughter is 5 months from tmrw her birth weight was 2.98 and it was normal til 3 and half months she was(6kgs) aftr tat I find her taking feed very less but urine output 2 to 3 full diapers I change in a day. but she does not look plumpy, chubby she looks thin but weight has come upto 6.4kgs is tis weight normal for her wat can I do to make her look fat plumpy

A. you have to give only breastfeeding to the child till completion of 6 months of age and before 6 months of age if you are giving any type of outside Food or complementary feeding it can cause digestion problem in the child. no need to give water also because breast milk contains 80% of water and water also is given after six months of age only breastfeeding only will help in increasing the weight of the child

A. Hello dear parent! Baby’s body structure depends on the child’s genetic factors. Your child’s weight gain seems to be normal. It is said to be ideal if the baby doubles its birth weight by 6 months completion and triples by one year completion. Continue breastfeeding your baby well on demand for the first 6 months.
