Q.

My daughter is 4yrs 10 months old bt she is getting yellowish vaginal discharge..I hv consulted child specialist.. he had adviced for a urine test..bt what would be the probable reason for this unnatural discharge??

A. Are you sure that it is not the Poop which is coming from the anus especially while washing? Also see if the child is having an itching in that area and sometimes they even keep foreign bodies or keep playing with genital area which might cause discharge Write Your Answer Here

A. The vagina is designed to be moist, so discharge at every age is normal. Typically you will see only small amounts in infants and young children, and it is usually clear, white, or slightly yellow and odorless. Persistent vaginal discharge in children can be a sign of infection.
