Q.

My daughter is 4 months old and she is on breastfeed. I want to know whether her mother can get her COVID vaccine now. If yes, can she breastfeed the baby after that or no if in case she gets fever. Please let me know

A. Recent guidelines says lactating mothers can also take covid vaccine . Both the vaccines given by the government are completely safe for breastfeeding lactating and pregnant women. if you experience any symptoms like fever, body pains, headaches, joint pains then take paracetamol . also can continue feeding after receiving vaccine n during fever.

A. Hello mom According to new studies government has given permission to get vaccinated if you are a lactating mother. It is totally safe to take a vaccination and continue breastfeeding your baby as you are doing. If you get a fever and take any medication then avoid feeding your baby for next two hours. Happy parenting
