my daughter is 4 months 3 weeks old, her weight hasnot reached 5.5 kgs, is that normal?

A. It depends on how much she weighed during her birth. A 5 month old will weigh on an average around 5.5 to 8.7 kg. Your baby should be peeing anywhere between six to ten times a day which means the baby is taking feeds properly. If not then make sure the baby is latching and taking feeds well or if ur milk supply is sufficient. Also there should be a gradual weight gain. Keep a check on these factors.

A. hi yes it is normal. it is not necessary to have an ideal weight. so as your child weighs enough weight you should not worry about it.
