my daughter is 3yrs 7months old now and she has a habit of suking her 2 fingers from starting .....now we are very concern about her habit we had tried many methods at home like applying asafoetida on finger or covered her hand with socks or clothes even we taught her what will happen if u Suck your finger all the time and she understood our point that time but after that she again starts suking her finger. please suggest some remedies for this.

A. babies have natural rooting and sucking reflexes, which can cause them to put their thumbs or fingers into their mouths . because thumb sucking makes babies feel secure, some babies might eventually develop a habit of thumb sucking when they're in need of soothing or going to sleep. sometimes due to stress also this can occur. it is many times increased during the teething process also. you can wait till max till permanent tooth eruption starts most experts agree that a thumb-sucker younger than 5 shouldn't be pressured to stop stop by 1 positive reinforcement : praise when child does not do it. also offer bed time stories and outside entertainment when child does not do it.d 2 identify trigger as what led to it. stress ?? 3 gentle reminder. do not scold and severely criticize last option- dentist treatment after 5years .

A. Take some neem oil mix it with some transparent nail paint and when your child goes to sleep applied on the nails as well as all the finger sides also so whenever your child will try to take it inside because of the filthy taste the child is going to give up and the child would not realise what is there because even after washing it is not going to go away try this
