Q.

My daughter is 3 years old and she has got into the habit of biting nails…inspite of scolding her…she is unable to get rid of it…suggest something…I am really worried about her

A. Yes, this is seen in many babies. You need to handle it very softly. Explain the child the bad if eating nails and show some videos related to stomach worms, etc. By which the baby will understand.

A. Hai !! Firstly trim her nails regularly every 5-7 days. Second and most important thing is to engage her in activity with hands like colouring,blocks,puzzles,sorting,arranging blocks/balls/toys,play dough with corn flour or atta ,paper activities ,brain games using two hands which mostly make her busy and forget the habit of keeping hands into mouth or biting nails.
