My Daughter is 3 year old, Having temp of 101.7, having cold symptoms also, i have given sinarest but still having fever. Can I give Calpol medicine after giving Sinarest?

A. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicgyine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribfed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

Consult with your doctor in person for proper physical examination and treatment see your own treating doctor can guide you more and can solve your problems Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of the time supportive treatment is given along with that cough expectorant and decongestant with antiallergic medicine given steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms
