Q.

My daughter is 3 months and 1 week old. She is unable to roll to her side. But she lifts her legs and upper body to roll and she fails at the end. Is it of concern ? when can I expect her to roll?

A. sometimes rolling over can come after 4-5 months so no need to worry for that and it is not necessary that it should come early. many times the weight of the child is more and that also delays the rollfing. if if the growth and weight of the child is within normal limits then no need to worry about it. just carry out regular massage and proper diet and the child will be fine in next few months

A. That is not a problem at this age sitting without support and crawling in children may sometimes come after one year of age also. if the growth of the child is proper no need to worry. just take care of regular diet and baby massage which will help in strengthening the muscles needed for sitting and crawling. in some cases crawling may be absent in children and directly the child will begin to stand with support and later walk with support and then without support. take a medical check up done to confirm if there is need of any intervention. Thanks and take care
