Q.

My daughter is 2yrs 11month old and she is having constipation since almost 1yr. she can't poo on daily basis and even the poo is very hard and it hurts alot due to which she don't poo and after 2-3 days of trying we need to put suppository. we have given her milk of magnesium, fiber sachets and digestion syrup peptine. kindly suggest Or advise on this issue.

A. kindly continue the medicine given by your doctor and take follow up Your child is having constipation for which kindly give plenty of water to drink and fibre diet made from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits. Specially give papaya banana oats fennel seeds water it will help in decreasing constipation and even after that the problem continues kindly meet your doctor for constipation medicine. it is important for you to know that the problem of constipation will improve with increasing age of the child. You may increase or decrease the dosage of constipation medicine if needed according to the consistency of the stool
