My daughter is 20 months old and she is having a constipation problem due to which she doesn’t poop for day or 2 days she is losing her appetite for food and when she poops she cries loudly because her excreta hole may get hurts due to poop what to do

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. the hurting and pain is due to the constipation so meet your doctor because constipation medicine has to be given to your child Your child is having constipation for which kindly give plenty of water to drink and fibre diet made from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits. Specially give papaya banana oats fennel seeds water it will help in decreasing constipation and even after that the problem continues kindly meet your doctor for constipation medicine. it is important for you to know that the problem of constipation will improve with increasing age of the child. You may increase or decrease the dosage of constipation medicine if needed according to the consistency of the stool
