Q.

my daughter is 2 months old. I have been exclusively breastfeeding her but lately she has been biting my nipples so hard that there are severe cuts and I am unable to breastfeed her. I was pumping but I am unable to do that as well due to the pain. I started formula feeding today. is it okay to have a combination of formula feeding and breast milk? does that make me an inefficient mother?

A. Teething usually does not happen before completing the time of three months but in some cases it can start by the age of two months also I think that’s the reason I would recommend you to take care of your nipples by applying some cream start using nipple shield and feed your child directly onto your breast and it’s okay for the time being if you’re giving formula but your prime focus should still be more on breastfeeding
