Q.

My daughter is 2 months and 22 days old. Her birth weight was 2.8kg. At 6 weeks, her weight was only 2.9 kg and at 10 weeks she weighed 3.3kg. She is exclusively breast fed. In the first month she was given both formula and breastmilk. Should I be worried about her weight gain?

A. Hello dear parent, if your baby is urinating 8 to 10 times in the day then your baby is well fed and well hydrated and your milks supply is sufficient for your baby. Also a baby should be double his birth weight at 6th month of age. So now you can well calculate how your baby is gaining weight. Good luck and take care
