A. If your child is not eating properly and has low weight, it could be due to teething, illness, poor appetite, or picky eating habits. To support healthy weight gain, offer high-calorie, nutrient-rich foods like mashed banana, avocado, sweet potato, boiled potato with ghee, full-fat curd, paneer, egg yolk, dal khichdi, suji halwa, and oats with milk. Feed small meals more often and include snacks like fruit smoothies or dry fruits powder mixed with porridge. Avoid force-feeding; instead, make mealtime enjoyable. If the issue continues, consult your pediatrician to rule out underlying causes like nutritional deficiencies or digestive issues.

A. If your one-month-old daughter did not pass the OAE (Otoacoustic Emissions) test, it doesn't necessarily mean she has permanent hearing loss. Sometimes, the result can be affected by temporary issues like fluid in the ear, vernix (newborn skin coating), or movement during the test. However, it is important to follow up with your pediatrician or an audiologist for a repeat OAE or a more detailed test like ABR (Auditory Brainstem Response) to confirm her hearing status. Early detection is very important, so timely follow-up is the best step forward.
