AnujaMom of a 4 yr 2 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hey I give my son A2 cow ghee with most of the meals in small quantities. It helps him gain weight. Also I give him home made halwa made with loads of dry fruit and ghee every morning in winters specially. I also give him ragi malt regularly. Add dry fruit powder to your child's milk and pediasure(check with doc). There are also formulas( made with soy protein which is the cheapest form of protein and not good for health) which you can add to milk for 2 yrs plus but my toddler does not like the taste so I somehow finished it by adding in his halwa and did not buy again.
My toddler's paediatrician informed me that after they start walking you will be lucky if they gain 1-2 kg each year as they are so active and their metabolism is also very fast.
If your child is in the correct range of growth chart percentile, do not worry.
Add more healthy snacks(eg makhana with ghee) if your child does not eat big meals.

You can actually go ahead with giving dry fruit powder to the child as that is natural and very very good for the child for overall growth as it is full of nutrients for the child so that is something that you can give to the child and along with that a balanced nutrition diet is definitely very important
