my daughter is 11months and 12 days old and she is having diarrhoea and vomiting from last day and after doctor consultation freebiotic and zifi and meriset has been started but still her motion is not ok I just want to know that how much will it take to recover

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. it is very normal that after an episode of gastroenteritis occur in which antibiotic forgiven it will take around 10 to maximum of 20 days for the recovery. still that time it is advisable to continue only easily digestible food and then it will gradually turn to more solid.
continue the medicines given by your doctor and continue the probiotics and avoid heavy diet for few days

whether it is a good sign or not? as previously she was very dull and lethargic,cranky and was not taking the feed properly
and she is playing dancing taking proper feed but still motions are there please help me doctor

kindly give ORS for every episode of loose motion and give simple diet made from rice dal and khichdi curd buttermilk apple banana and the natural probiotics from the curd will help in decreasing the loose motion and if it is not improving in one or two days then kindly meet your doctor.
also you cannot give outside milk to the child and you cannot give cerelac also but you can continue to give breastfeeding if going on for next few days
