Q.

my daughter is 10 months old ...and she is having fever of 101 degrees... I'm giving her calpol 6 hourly and cefixime antibiotic bd.....from last 2 days .....bt her fever lowers down to 99.1 bt her head is hot ...what should I suppose to do

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory phgrocess in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever
