Q.

My daughter is 1 month old .. her poop is very smelly.. she’s on exclusive breast feed ... is it normal to have foul smell or is it any kind of infection?

A. the baby is only one month of age moreover baby is on mother breastfeeding the chances of infection are absolutely nil i since baby is only on mother feeling do not bother about the smell

A. In the first few days, newborns' stools have very little odor. As their gut becomes colonized with bacteria, the stool becomes smellier. This is a normal process. Breast-fed babies usually don't have very smelly stools, while formula-fed babies often have a more pungent odor.
