Q.
My daughter having cough. But she doesn't have cold. What would be the hone remedies for recovery? She is 7 months old.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever ivs there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated vg again after 6 hours if required .

Use saline nasal drops
Give indirect steam inhalation
Take healthy protein rich nutritious food including fenugreek ajwain butter to increase your breast milk avoid stress stay happy it also help to increase your breast milk you can take lactogen tablet to increase bm
Consult with your doctor in person for proepr physical examination and treatment
