A. recurring and non resolving cough and cold is commonly due to allergy and less likely due to infection. can be due to either allergy or infection hor both. along with cough and cold medicine nebulization will be required and your doctor will guide you regarding this. take a follow up with your doctor if the cough and cold is not improving with 3 days of medication .
it is very important to give proper inhaler as well as proper method of nebulization for better recovery

A. Recurring cold and cough in a seven-month-old can be distressing. While you've been using a nebulizer, which is good for managing symptoms, there are also some home remedies and supportive care measures you can try to help alleviate your baby's discomfort:
1. **Hydration**: Ensure your baby is well-hydrated. Offer breast milk or formula frequently, as fluids can help thin mucus and keep the throat moist.
2. **Humidity**: Use a cool-mist humidifier in your baby's room to keep the air moist. This can help ease congestion and soothe irritated airways.
3. **Nasal Saline Drops and Suction**: Use saline drops to loosen mucus in the nasal passages, followed by gentle suction with a bulb syringe to clear the nose.
4. **Steam Inhalation**: Sit in the bathroom with the hot shower running to create steam. Hold your baby in the steamy bathroom for a few minutes to help relieve congestion.
5. **Elevate the Head**: Slightly elevate your baby's head while sleeping by placing a towel under the crib mattress. This can help with breathing and reduce postnasal drip.
6. **Comfort and Rest**: Keep your baby comfortable and ensure they get plenty of rest. Hold and cuddle them to provide comfort and reassurance.
7. **Honey for Babies Over 1 Year**: For babies over 1 year old, a small amount of honey can help soothe a cough. However, never give honey to babies under 1 year due to the risk of botulism.
8. **Warm Baths**: Give your baby a warm bath to help ease congestion and provide comfort.
9. **Avoid Irritants**: Keep your baby away from smoke, strong perfumes, and other irritants that can aggravate respiratory symptoms.
10. **Breastfeeding**: Continue breastfeeding if possible, as it provides essential nutrients and antibodies that can help boost your baby's immune system.
If your baby's symptoms persist, worsen, or are accompanied by a high fever, difficulty breathing, or other concerning signs, it's important to seek medical advice from your pediatrician. They can rule out any underlying conditions and provide appropriate treatment.
