my daughter 5yrs 5 months old her weight 18 kg she is having high fever how much crocin ds can I give to her crocin is good or meftal s Pl reply asap

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever .
Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks .
Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed .
Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home reffmedy to decrease fever.
Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial.
Urixne output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

Crocin ds can we give in to your child and on the bottle itself it would be mention as to what is going to be the dosage as per the current age and wait for your child approximately five suggest it’s going to be around 5ML as of now but it’s better to give this medicine because this is much more stronger than the other two that you are talking
