My daughter 5 year 11 months having weight 22 kgs,from last 2 days crying when pooping due to acute constipation..last week she had a dose of metrogyl for acute stomach ache..this is first time she crying and frightened for pooping. can any laxative suggest?? thank you

A. Mout powder is a good laxative you can give that plus give warm water through the day and ask your doctor if you can give us stool softener because due to constipation despite of giving laxative sometimes the motion can be really hard so stool softener will be quite benefit for the child right now and apply some Boroline in the anal region so it’s little smooth for the child to pass motion or even you can put some coconut oil there
