my child suffer light cough from today noon.he is 1.8 years old and his weight 12kg. which medicine give him and does . plz suggest

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. any cough most of the time either it could be allergic or infective which needs proper evaluation. initially you can start by giving steam inhalation to your baby which will help in relieving symptoms to some extent and will make the baby comfortable.for small baby should be given indirectly from a distance.cough suppressants are usually avoided in children,it naeeds to be examined first before giving any kind of medicine. so it will be better if you consult your doctor for proper guidance along with proper dosage for the kind of problem.

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 10 m old boy4 years agoA. Hi mom Give steam inhalation to ur and give warm tulsi ginger honey water 3-4 times in a day to get relief from cough. Apply baby rub on the chest and feet of the baby to get relief from cough and cold
