Q.

my child stool. is very hard what can I do for him to relieve constipation?

A. , your baby boy is 17 months old and he is having a constipation so if the stool is dry and he is having trouble then give him 5 ml syrup duphalac twice a day

A. at this age the child should pass stool regularly. if the consistency is hard and the child is having pain while passing stool it is considered as constipation. give plenty of water and fibre diet to the child it is important to give fibre diet from cereals pulses vegetables and fruitsz avoid giving more than 400 ml milk everyday and avoid giving packet and processed foods as well as biscuits and refined food adding pazpaya , fennel seeds water , oats pear prunes pineapple banana kishmish to the regular diet will help in decreasing constipation.
