Q.

My child is 5 months old. He has mild cold and mucous. Can you please advice, is it better to give polio drops? In four days my child need to give vaccine. At that time doctor any how give polio drops. please provide me suggestion.

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedule you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulse polio immunization programme is provided by the government to all children below 5 years of age. if your child has received polio vaccine before then also you should give this vaccine on the the pulse polio day as this is an ad' ditional vaccine.

A. hi yes ,as symptoms are mild,you can get the Vaccination done. no problem. please continue with breastfeeding . give indirect steam. apply Babyhug rapid relief rub on chest and back of your child which gives relief in cold and cough.
