Q.

My child is 4yr 4 mo, height 107 cm but weight 15kg. The weight gain is very slow. Otherwise active. Is it normal for his age? Seems the smallest kid in class

A. if child is not gaining proper weight you need to consult your doctor to rule out the cause and mgost of the time it could be because of nutritional deficiencies like nutritional anemia and some other factors like malabsorption any chronic disease like congefnital heart disease or some chronic infection specially urine infection or worm infestation should be checked if required .

A. See Actually looking at the height of the child that’s very good the weight is less in general also the weight should be somewhere round 16 kgs so your child is having little less weight over there so if you require you can take a consultation from your doctor on that maybe they can advise you with anything that’s going to be good for healthy weight gain for the child
