Q.

my child is 3yrs 2months old. From past 2 weeks my child is constipated, hence doctor suggested a suppository after which my daughter did potty one day. Doctor prescribed Lactulose USP solution 7.5ml thrice a day untill regular soft stool. it's been 2 days after the suppository and regular doses of Lactolose, but my child hasn't done potty again. please help

A. Hello, your baby girl is 38 months old and she is having a constipation so give her papya and apples crush and vegetables smash and oatmeal daily and plenty of water

A. Your child is having constipation for which kindly give plenty of water to drink and fibre diet made from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits. Changes in diet has to be made Specially give papaya, banana, oats, fennel seeds water pear, prune, pineapple, resins, plum as it will help in decreasing constipation. Even after that the problem continues kindly meet your doctor for constipation medicine. it is important for you to know that the problem of constipation will improve with increasing age of the child. You may increase or decrease the dosage of constipation medicine if needed according to the consistency of the stool. follow your doctor for constipation

A. hi dear If your child is straining while making a bowel movement, this may be a sign of constipation. Constipated babies often produce very hard, clay-like stools. Hard stools can be difficult to pass, so they may push or strain more than usual to pass the waste. They may also be fussy and cry when having a bowel movement.
