Q.

My child has a cough every month. It lasts for a week. Whenever he has a cold, he starts coughing. The doctor tells him to give him a nebulizer. Earlier, we used to nebulize him and he would get better. After some time, the cough starts again. We also got a lung test done, that too is fine. But now the doctor has asked to give him an inhaler. Now he is giving the child an inhaler. Is this a sign of asthma?

A. If the problem is constant and the doctors advising you inhaler then that’s definitely due to some allergy so you should get an allergy test done to know what kind of an allergy is it is not necessarily as it could be associated with bronchitis or sinus also as the symptoms are same in Hyderabad do not necessarily asthma
