Q.

MY BOY IS TWO MONTHS 15 DAYS OLD and his weight is only 3.9kgs and his birth weight was 3kg but his weight is not increasing at all. But baby is active but looks low weight.I started giving formula milk along with breastfeeding why baby is not gaining weight and how to increase?

A. Hello mom he is gaining and initially after birth they normally loose some weight and then gradually start to gain monthly gain ranges between 300 gm to 1 kg and by the age of 4 to 6 months they double their birth weight

A. Hello dear parent! There should be a minimum weight gain of 400gms to 500gms in a month. Continue feeding your baby well on demand . Regularly massage your baby with Babyhug cold pressed coconut oil. Consult your child’s doctor for advice.
