my boy is suffering from a cough , whenever we give him a syrup after some time he vomits , is this good or bad

If the child vomit within first 30 minutes of taking the medicine then actually it’s not good because then you have to repeat the medicine and the medicine has not started to work so it’s of course not good if the child keeps vomiting medicine like that
